As much as we'd like to think we represent what this country thinks and believes, that's simply not true at all. Each and every one of us sees reality through a filter. How obscurely we see things depends on the filter we look through. From time to time, it's a good idea, I think, to remove that filter and take an non-obscured look around.

Reality tends to get filtered out all too often, but is still present and real.
