Indeed, many consider RT as unreliable (but somehow CNN and Huffington Post are beyond reproach).

We lobbied for this group specifically to promote alternative and less well-sources and to do so in a place free from criticism for the source.

It would be fine for a member to express their skepticism, as long as it's offered in a constructive manner.

RT is obviously a foreign source, they were founded to counter of view of the West that Russia is communist, poor, snowy, and backward.

I think, like Al Jazeera, RT offers a refreshingly different point of view on US and world affairs.

Not that this group is only for foreign sources, we also want to promote unorthodox or emerging ways of sharing information, so it's pretty wide open that way.

I think that independent broadcast is something we'll see more of as we lose more internet freedom, for example.
