(10,622 posts)I have worked with so many loosely grouped bunches of people on shared goals that I have learned that this stuff is better done organically, that is naturally.
It's OK, I have also learned that a common goal is something that does not need rigidity to become manifest , people, if left to be free in such an endeavor tend to find their own ways and places to help with the common cause without trying to force roles on anybody.
I have also learned that some people require a structured hierarchy to function, those sorts of people, tho well meaning, often distract the group from the actual goal in pursuit of the hierarchical structure they feel they need to function.
I am not down with that, I like to work in good faith with people that all have something to offer in pursuit of a goal that I find important, and that as luck would have it, they do as well.
Want you want from me I can not give you, I am just an old blue collar hippie in search of same to make a difference.
That is how I work, if I have no place here so be it, but I did not feel it was my place to make a call (that could legally affect another member of the group) without his participation, nor am I interested in investing my time in writing a manifesto meant to clarify peoples places in a pecking order I do not feel needs to exist.
I am a free range graphic artist that is only trying to contribute, don't try to make this something I would not wish to be a part of, that happened the last big project that started out just fine until certain folks decided there must be a rigid orthodoxy that ruined it for me, if you must know, I am talking about the PI project and I will not repeat that.
