by his age. It'd only be surprising if someone paid $174K a year for nearly 30 years in an era of enormous wealth growth didn't end up well to do. Capitalizing on belated national name recognition through book sales, including his own mass purchases funded by his campaign -- which are totally legal, is SOP for people in his position.
