Democratic Primaries
Showing Original Post only (View all)Biden isn't "delusional." It's called campaigning. It's called politics. [View all]
Everyone needs to look at what he does and all of the candidates through the lens of running a political campaign, not our own personal thoughts on whether or not Republicans will change once trump is gone.
In this case, Biden loses nothing for expressing what is essentially a positive aspiration for the country (in the GOP working with a future Democratic president), but gains support from voters who want that.
It doesn't matter that it's unlikely that the GOP will change, that's NOT the point.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

It is an inane criticism. Not one candidate campaigns they will not try to work with everyone

Aspiration is helpful only if it's based on reality. Obama had reason for aspiration. But we learned

So bullshit as a strategy is ok with you? On such a key issue, we can't wave a wand and wish away

Thought I did. Are you suggesting that he is not putting this out there as his intended strategy?

Yes it's politics but it's also about as sincere as when Repubs send their "thoughts and prayers"

Biden has been in office since a time when Democrats and Republicans could and did work together

He claims to KNOW that the GOP will suddenly be cooperative with Democrats once Trump is gone.

It's not about believing it. It's an aspirational thought that many GE voters long for.
