I believe that's the intention. By sabotaging and undermining the Democratic party... and by dividing and weakening the party... there is a certain element of groups and individuals who proudly proclaim their philosophy that the the Democratic party must be "destroyed" in order to be "rebuilt". --- Basically, they want to turn it into a socialist party.
To that end, he has promised to endorse the nominee, and pledged he will not run a negative campaign,
Yeah... not so much. We've heard that before. Looking at recent events and announcements, that "promise" leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion.
If I were to vote in a presidential
