Democratic Primaries

(146,262 posts)I want to elect someone who is also a lifelong Democrat. I want our party's nominee to be someone who is proud to be a Democrat.
Look at the campaign staffs of all of the other primary candidates. How many proud Jill Stein voters will you find? Not one.
Jill Stein symbolizes what happened in 2016 for me. She ran as a spoiler and the election was, in fact, spoiled by less than 90,000 votes. Jill Stein got more than that number in the three states that made the difference.
So, there you have it. I cannot forgive that, and am surprised and even shocked that one of the candidates for the Democratic nomination in 2020 chose vocal, proud Jill Stein reporters to represent his campaign and to publicly post about that campaign, sometimes to attack another Democratic primary candidate.
Personally, that unforgivable for me. That said, if the party nominates Bernie Sanders, he will get my vote in November. I don't think I will have to make that decision, though, and I'm solidly opposed to Sanders becoming the nominee, for the reasons i have explained.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
