Bush's stubbornness may be hindering him
Gee, USA Today, ya think? :silly:

<snip>

WASHINGTON — President Bush is a stubborn man.

He said so himself in March, when he vowed to continue pressing for changes to Social Security despite the qualms of Congress and the public. "I'm going to be stubborn on this issue," he said in Iowa.

He demonstrated his persistence again Wednesday, when he gave another speech promoting changes he wants to make in Social Security. "My strategy is pretty simple: Explain the problem to the American people, and keep explaining it and explaining it," he told the Association of Builders and Contractors.

12. ROFL...though on second thought
...even armadillos are probably more intelligent than the puppet.

One thing we can be sure of - even armadillos serve a purpose in nature - unlike that minion of Sauron.

Actually, there is no creature on this earth that deserves to be compared to that Demon Spawn.

14. "Bush is dumber than a mule turd"
Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 11:16 PM by Elwood P Dowd
I live in the country down in Alabama. While in the heart of red country, every now and then I meet someone even older than me that comes up with little country gems like, "Bush is dumber than a mule turd" or "Bush is dumber than my dog's dick". There are still southern country folk around who can't stand bushit.

When I first read that I thought it said "male turd." I'm not sexist, I just guess it's time to move up from reading glasses to computer glasses.

7. Candidate for this month's "You Call This NEWS?" award
NOW you figure out that Bush's "moral resolve" might be nothing more than good old-fashioned infantile self-possessed muleheadedness? This just in--the sun set in the west this evening!

8. What a frickin moron...
But I'm concerned that Bush may make some headway with the sheeple. My daughter just came home from work (in a Dr's office). A couple in their 60s were visiting with her. The husband said he was 61 and would soon apply for Social Security "if there's anything left". He was dead serious. That type of thinking is a real victory for Bush. If people stop "counting" on SS, they'll be less likely to be outraged by Republican cuts - "Gee, I'm so relieved I'll get something!" I hear many others (in an early retiree newsgroup) say they aren't banking on SS, and that anything they ultimately get will be "gravy". Very dangerous thinking. The chimp is out softening up the sheeple, little by little.

24. Depends on how you look at it
Edited on Thu Jun-09-05 04:58 PM by lulu
He's very compliant toward his corporate owners. He's not there to help America or benefit the American people in any way. He's only there to make money for his friends. So, like I said, depends on how you look at it ...
