3 companies sued for failing to make insurance payments
Associated Press
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Health insurance and pension plans benefiting heavy equipment operators, surveyors and workers in the nuclear waste disposal and construction industries sued three companies for falling behind on payments to health insurance and pension plans.
Named in the federal suits filed this summer were Mason Manufacturing, LMS Environmental Contracting of Madison, Ind., and Duratek Federal Services Inc., based in Columbia, Md.
The lawsuits allege that Mason Manufacturing is behind in payments to the Sheet Metal Workers National Health and Welfare Fund, LMS Environmental Contracting owes money to the Tennessee Valley Operating Engineers Health Fund and Duratek Federal Services failed to make payments to the Southern Electrical Retirement Fund pension plan.
All the funds involved are managed by Nashville-based Southern Benefits Administrators.
