GOP Afraid Oil Profits Will Throw Them Out of Power in '06. |
|
Ticker on MSNBC or CNN (??). Apparently the lovely oil companies have snatched 20 billion or so in profits from July through September and now the GOP is fearing the backlash at the polls in '06. So, good, caring people that they are, they are going to ask the oil companies to spend some of that profit in building new refineries and new pipelines (hahaha--assholes--they were well on their way to trying to get us to fund those things for the oil companies but this must have scared them. Re-elect them and I can assure you that we will get the bill!). Can't help but wonder why they would be so worried if they were not part of this oil cartel that owns D.C. and are complicit in the whole thing?? - this whole rotten Republican Party is filthy to the core and an enemy of the people.

2. It would serve them right |

I'd love to get a bumper sticker listing the oil profits, in contrast to the increase in gas prices.

6. I think we should start a movement |
|
to bring charges against the oil companies for undermining the US economy. And the GOP for being complicit in raping our system for profit. This party, and all it's little kings and queens, all it's rich and affluent, are bottom sucking scum who are destroying the United States for a little (lot) bling. The GOP is indeed rotten to the core, and the army, and the navy, and the coast guard and every other citizen of ours.

10. emald--Amen---this is "another" corruption story that needs |
|
to be investigated and flung in front of the American people. INDEED, it is undermining the US economy and is as treasonous against this nation as Plamegate and all else. These people are NOT citizens of this country. They have no loyalty to it or interest in it and should be removed forever from power.

11. Two Republican friends of mine have vowed to never vote Repub again |
|
For some people, it had to hurt or threaten them financially before they were ready to turn against Bush and the Republicans. One of my friends, a career Federal employee and stock market investor is worried about her future retirement benefits and health care premiums and loss of union protection on her job plus high cost of fuel and poor stock market, so she has been ranting about Bush deserving impeachment over Iraq and that she is voting for Dems from now on.
A friend of my husband has told eveyone that he changed his affiliation to Democratic and will never vote Republican again either because of the lies, corruption and obscene profits being made by the Bush corporate cronies. But I believe what got him turned was the high fuel prices.

12. wishlist---your example #1 just makes me shake my head |
|
Why in hell would anyone who wants union protection for her job, has concerns about her Federal retirement and her health benefits, EVER EVER vote for any of these Repuke slime?? They are ANTI-everything she is concerned about and they are ANTI-her simply because she works for the (gag) government. They want her gone and off the payroll no matter what her job is. This is where I could just hit the Dems upside the head. For God's sake how can we not get it through union members and government employee's heads (for starters)that these people are their enemies. It's so frustrating......
