David "Axis of Evil" Frum on BBC last night. |
|
My cousin believes in re-incarnation. She's smarter than I am and gives good reasons. Is Frum a reborn side kick of Dr. Goebbels?
OK, so last night after attacking BBC objectivity (way to go idiot, you should have been at Faux) he trotted out the usual "if it wern't for America you guys would be speaking German/Russian". Yeah right asswipe, but only if the guys who fought Nazi's and Commies went AWOL for a year.
Oh, sorry, I inferred your Hero, Elite Aviator Action Figure.

1. He was an arrogant embarrassment to our country. |
|
I was hoping the BBC guy would complete the attack on him, but he backed off out of courtesy.
I am ashamed he is an American.

2. here, let me shoulder that embarrassment for you, |

because he's Canadian.
Only benefit: my wife went to his high school, and has funny pictures of him in a year book. Other than that...

3. You are welcome to him. |

I did not realize he was Canadian. When I see him, I always think of what he said in his book about Bush. Bush has cutesy sayings for people he doesn't like.
He calls environmentalists "green green lima beans."
Really intelligent and really mature.
Frum and Bush, sitting in a tree.......

Good old Gwynne Dyer described the little shitbird as "One of those right-wing Canadians who seem to thrive in the US". Him and Mark Steyn. :puke:
There's another one as well--an old troglodyte called Bogdan Kipling who lives in DC and occasionally disgraces the pages of our local paper. Smug SOB thinks Chimpy is just the bee's knees.
If we hadn't given you Robert McNeil and Peter Jennings, I'd say you had grounds for taking Canada before the World Court for trans-border pollution...

5. I wish this slug would renounce his Canadian citizenship like the... |

other sleazebag, Conrad Black. This man is a faux Canadian, imo. He has none of the principles or values of real Canadians.

His argument was "every one of the other guy's facts are wrong" (but no reasons to back this up), and "the BBC is biased". His reasoning for this was that "all 3 people interviewed outside Buckingham Palace were anti-Bush", although the question asked was actually whether they approved of the visit. One actually said "it's good Bush is here, because he won't hear the demonstrators from 6000 miles away"; one said "no, he's disrupting everything", and one (American) said "he's thrown away all the goodwill the USA used to have".
Frum totally ignored the section where they interviewed 3 people in a pub - 2 supported Bush's policies, and 1 was very much against Bush. So the BBC was actually pretty balanced. I think it was the inability of Frum to see this that made Paxman stop bothering with him - he had 2 other people from whom he could get proper answers.
So rather than make any sort of reasoned defence of the Bush visit, Frum pissed away his chance. No wonder Frum was described as a former Bush speechwriter - even Dubya would fire an incompetent jerk like that.
