Why are cold greasy dishes more revolting than warm slimy dishes? |
|
My morning off...Last night S.O. made pancakes and sausage for supper, this morning three frying pans, the batter bowl, spatula awaited me in the kitchen each filled with cold soapy water...I gotta say I hate putting my hand into that, but after pouring out the cold water I don't mind starting over with warm water.
Is this the remnant of some inherent memory of escaping into the primordial soup or is it some sort of 50 year old latent memory associated with playing in the ooze of my diapers?

1. That's why I quit soaking my dishes |

I don't need a pond-like ecosystem building up anywhere near what will be touching my food.
I wish I had a dishwasher. I don't mind doing any form of housework (I'm a nanny/housekeeper by trade as a matter of fact), but I HATE doing dishes.
I actually pay one of my friends to do them for me.

3. "Dishes" went into the dishwasher as table was cleared... |

SO who generally doesn't cook on the stove other than to boil water, also generally doesn't do "cookware."
