My (Enron)ing car hates me!!! |
|
My defroster stopped working today, just in time for winter, and I have no money whatsoever to fix it.
I think my car is a Freeper, because ever since I put my John Kerry bumper sticker on it, so much stuff's gone wrong, including the air conditioner breaking in mid-May (which I never bothered to fix, even during summer), my brakes going out, and my door swinging open sometimes when I hit a bump (yes, this has even happened on the interstate).
What are you supposed to do when Karl Rove tampers with your car?
PS, for those wondering what the title means, I have stopped using the "f" word and replaced it with "Enron."

1. Use "Cheney" instead of "Enron" |
|
in commemoration of Dick's telling Senator Leahy to "fuck off" on the floor of the Senate.

2. I think "Enron" is more appropriate in this case, |
|
because my car is screwing me over.
I'll scream "Cheney!" when I get really mad, though. That'll sound cool.

3. What kind and what year of car? |

The door sounds like the latch mechanism is sticking (I had this problem in an old Buick.)
I bought a can of lithium grease and greased the mechanism. Door worked fine after that.
YMMV, of course. Don't do this with the window down.
As for the defroster... check the heater core. It may be getting ready to die, and when that happens, that means you will overheat all the time and the heat won't work and it will dump a lot of radiator fluid in the passenger floor boards. Fix it ahead of time. That's the order my buick's bits and pieces went in - AC, defroster, heater core.
Get a Haynes manual for your car and start reading. Be slow and patient and yes, you, too can fix your car. (Don't mess with the AC, though. Freon's a pain in the ass.)
