Its Halloween! Any Sweeny Todd Fans? |
|
My girlfriend & I watched this last night on PBS. George Hearn rocks! I think I liked Angela Landsbury better than Patty Lupone. I thought Neil Patrick Harris did an excellent job. But IMO there is only ONE Sweeney Todd & thats George Hearn! I also think this is SOndheim's best work! Anyone else?

1. To a Canadian, Sweeney Todd is a whole 'nother thing. |

A 70s band that had both Nick Gilder, and then Bryan Adams, as lead vocalists.
Roxy, little Roxy, might turn some heads tonight....

Should have titled it "Sweeney Todd the demon barber of Fleet Street" Pretty interesting reading about the history of this. This has Tim Burton written all over it! He should be the top pick if they ever do a movie version!

2. My only experience of "Sweeney Todd" is from watching "Jersey Girl" |
|
Just saw the movie the other day, and it was better than what most people were saying.
Other than that, I know nothing about Sweeney Todd.
