Shannon Hoon rocked. I get shivers every time I hear him growl "and if I die....THANK GOD MY SOUL SHALL BE RELASED!!!"
RIP Shannon

1. Losing him was much more of a blow to me |

than the death of Kurt Cobain. Probably because Shannon Hoon sounded so much like Jon Anderson of Yes voicewise, even if the bands didn't do similar styles of music.

2. Kinda like Anderson, but I thought more like the guy from Cheap Trick |

Man of a million voices...
Shannon, however, was no surprise. His entire repitoire was one big suicide note.

7. I would listen to them on many a road trip up and down eastern seaboard |

I loved Blind Melon, still do. No Rain was the first song I could really play on the guitar.
I loved not only the riffs and music but also the lyrics. Just about every song was amazing on its own.
RIP Shannon.
