then, you are not sure whether to put them back on ignore or leave them off of ignore.

on ignore and why? cause some people are like an ambulance coming at you with lights flashing & siren blaring all crazy teetering round on two wheels...and i still desire to be able to step out of the way of what is clearly a wreck in progress :thumbsup:

I do it with my irritating semi-stalkers. They aren't full blown stalkers, but more than once, they choose to post their negative little disapproval in my threads. They don't "get" me, but they feel compelled to post their disapproval. A hundred or so can VIEW the thread withOUT posting, whether they get it or not or whether they like the thread or not, but this particular type of poster MUST post in threads they don't like.

I've never used Ignore, but HAVE asked a couple to put ME on it. The first one was SHOCKED, and posted a string of posts calling me names about what a NUT would ask for this.

17. I have a rule that I don't put people on ignore, of course...

I haven't been stalked or attacked. I certainly have different views about some issues than many on DU, and that causes lots of...interesting threads. But, I kinda like listening to different opinions. Having said that, I notice that lately our level of dialog has slipped to name calling and accusatory responses (like freeper).

I also wonder if I am not on ignore on lots of people, as my posts tend to kill threads...I think sometimes that I am the only one reading my posts!
