I love human competitveness. |

Some backstory: My dad and I go to the grocery every Monday. We've been doing this for two years. We can be in and out of the store with a weeks' worth of groceries for 3 people in 30 minuets (This includes travel time).
I've got it down to where I can bag the groceries before he even finishes paying.
One thing I've consistently noticed always makes me smile. Whenever I bag groceries, I do it fast. If there's someone across from me, I've always observed that they'll speed up their bagging, and we'll essentially 'race'. I don't know any of them, and we never talk, but for some strange reason, it always seems like they're trying to finish faster once they see what a BAMF bagger (IMHO :P) I am.
This strange competitive attitude for some reason just makes me smile :). Thought I'd share.
This was a great story. I think I should tell it at parties.

1. I do similar things with stuff bagged for me |

I got very good at bagging while doing the typical high school supermarket deal. Now, when some dipshit puts two or three things in each bag, I'll take it all out and leave with half the amount originally used.
Intellectually lazy, these dang kid baggers today

I like the part about you and your dad doing the grocery shopping.
Of course, I'm a mom. :P
