Women- do you experience ovulation pain?
I can always tell precisely which tube is hatchin' one; this month it's old righty, because it hurts on one side and I feel like I'm cramping.

I never noticed this until after I had children, and it only seems to be getting more pronounced with time. It's not awful or terribly painful, but it's really quite annoying.

I'd say you're lucky for feeling it, since then you know you're fertile!

34. That's a period
not ovulation. My best friend had really painful periods. She'd lay on the floor and cry while I rubbed her back. Women get the worst of it - all we guys have to worry about is prostate problems and there's an easy fix for that.

in a big improvement as you can imagine. But that's just me, maybe the soy does help with lessening the cramps for other people, i also try to always a calcium supplement because that's also supposed to help, maybe if i didn't do that my cramps might actually be worse.

Some women are very sensitive and never want them touched. For some women they are painfull before, during, and just after menstruaion. Some no problem. But it can change over time.

Boys! Before you grab a woman's boobies ASK FIRST!

19. One is for the syndrome and one is for disease, I think.
She got a really severe infection back in December and we almost lost her because they thought it was "just a cyst" and sent her home with painkillers instead of antibiotics. Tell your friend to keep an eye on her temperature and that it's not good to use bath oils in the tub. We never knew this.

I have PCOS, but haven't had an ovarian cyst since I was 17 (that's when and how they diagnosed me). I've got all the other fun things that go along with PCOS, though (at 44, I now have regular periods and ovulate, but ovulate about a week too early--hopefully fixable with low-dose hormones if I ever need to use those eggs, and I might, soon). Does Wannabe have PCOS too, or just the cysts?

If they can come up with a pill to make a man's dick hard, they damn sure better be trying to come up with a pill to deal with PCOS. I'm a tad cranky about the whole thing.

Edited to add: I still get chills thinking about what Wannabe went through earlier this year. I'm so glad she's okay now!!

33. They have diagnosed her with PCOD. She lost one ovary and a
tube due to the surgery. She is still getting cysts but, now that we know what we're dealing with, she's been okay. They put her on several different types of BC pills ( I guess that's all they can manage to come up with) and they did not help. I don't blame you for being cranky. It sucks, and they way they blew us off with the painkillers (vicodin for a 17 year old? Nice) when her WBC was already in the 20 some thousands... I get so angry thinking about it.

We're coming to LA July 2-9th. Actually, we're flying into Vegas and spending the night of the 8th there on the way back.

18. oh god, yes
I have always been attuned to my body's weirdness- I knew right away once when I had a small cyst on one of my ovaries, extraordinary pressure. I tried to take birth control pills, but they just don't jive with me. I bled for 19 out of 20 days when I tried them, then I got bad leg cramps, then my OB told me to stop taking them. Synthetic hormones are junky. Rhythm method is junky, too.

28. yep, all the damn time
I have pcos so I always get ovary pain that lasts about 3 weeks to a month. Then the period comes along and that lasts about 2 weeks on top of the ovary pain. It gets to the point where all I can do is lay in bed in a fetal position with a hotpad on my stomach for the majority of the time. I'm only 31 with no kids but I swear I should just get a hysterectomy so I can experience what it is to be somewhat normal.

It didn't used to happen, but recently (maybe after I gave birth? I love to blame my kid for everything that's gone weird with my body) I get a sharp twinge when an egg is released. It's kind of interesting, and nowhere near as painful as other female anatomical events.

I've been thru menopause about 2 years ago.

About a month ago, I burned the toast and started crying. I told my BF, 'This feels like PMS; I'm crying over stupid stuff. It is NOT your fault."

Then, a week later, I had menstrual cramps. Enough that I had to take advil. But NO blood flow.

This cramping with no blood has happened before. :wtf:

My bod is trying to cycle, but can't get its act together. :wtf:

67. I used to have those little pains
and thought they were just ovulation then when they started getting worse, we did an ultasound and found huge cysts. Now I don't have anything to pain me anymore except my right ovary (kept it so I wouldn't have to do HRT) and it doesn't bother me. Which is weird because most of the time the pain was on the right side, but it was the left ovary with the cyst, along with the uterus.

Shit's gone now and I wish I had done it sooner. I've never felt so free in my life as I do now not worrying about having a period and all the crap you gotta deal with that go along with it.

I don't like children even in the least and hated putting up with that shit all those years. I really resent it actually.
