I spent the entire afternoon making talking points index cards that I'm calmly but confidently leaving around the community when I'm out and about. I have three categories: (1)Tax Plan Contrasts, (2) McCain Flip Flops, and (3) Vietnam Heroes. I used only information that has been documented and nothing "snarky" so I feel pretty comfortable that these little "notes" can't be refuted. Plus, if I happen to get into a conversation that requires some facts I might not be able to remember, I can simply pull the cards and even offer them to those who need more educating. It's not much, but I can't just sit here and do NOTHING until Monday when I can get down to the local Democratic Headquarters to volunteer however they need me. Maybe others will post ways that they're getting involved as well. Donating money is super important but we also need to make ourselves VISIBLE. We can't let this thing get away from us...the election is toooooooooo important.

newsletters when the Iraq War first started to try and counter the propaganda. I'd leave them in shopping carts, at the doctors office, in libraries etc., The benefit to me is that when I write things I remember them so much better then when I just read them. So I figure if just one person reads it, it's a plus. Thanks for the reminder!
