All I have to say is why is this guy wasting our time? His chances at higher office ended 20 years ago. Yeah he knows a lot about foreign policy but he's way too centrist for my liking, is an ardent drug warrior, and backed the Iraq War until very recently.
I actually like Dodd a lot. It's too bad he has no charisma.

1. You're talking about charisma and you have a Dick Gephardt quote in your sig? |
|
Biden's ok. He's running because he meets the constitutional requirements and believes he can do a good job.
His chances of getting the nod are slim at this point, but he's an intelligent man who offers an experienced and insightful perspective on a number of issues.
He isn't my candidate of choice, but he certainly isn't my least favorite, either.

At least Dick Gephardt never sold out poor people for banking industry dollars. At least Dick Gephardt isn't a closet hater of black people. I never said Dick Gephardt has a lot of charisma but he certainly has more than Biden, and wasway to the left of him on the important issues when he was in Congress.
I really don't understand the Gephardt bashing on here. The guy was adored by unions and the NAACP and a bunch of other Democratic organizations.
And i just liked the Gephardt quote is all. I would have liked it just as much had it been a Bingaman quote or a Dodd quote.
And I support Obama as well. I think Gephardt made a mistake endorsing Clinton.

2. Everyone in the Senate secretly wants to be president. |
|
Some keep it a better secret than others.

6. Maybe someday Barbara Boxer will make it less of a secret; |
|
I'd like that quite a bit.

7. I was thinking Russ Feingold. |

But I'd be just as happy with Boxer.

11. Only because we need Boxer to keep her Senate seat. |
|
I don't think Arnie would appoint a Democrat to fill her seat, if she gave it up for higher office.
Jim Doyle would.

13. Arnie would have a hard time finding a Republican that could win a full term |

Democrats have an extremely deep bench of candidates that could run for Boxer's seat in the special election. President Boxer would definitely be worth the trouble of having to win her seat back.

All a Senator needs to do is surround himself with a bunch of people that say how great he is and all of a sudden he thinks that he can be President.
And if Barbara Boxer were running, she'd totally have my vote.
