3. Knocking off Smith would be HUGE

He's not really that unpopular and is indeed a moderate. Picking him off with a more progressive voice would be super.

those are better numbers than I was last able to find.

Even if Smith retains his seat, he is going to be under massive pressure to be one of the moderate Republicans who can help the Dems get work done. Where is that pressure going to come from? From President Obama, who'll come to collect for Smith so brazenly using Obama's name and image in his ads trying to paint Smith as a bi-partisan.

But it's also going to come from his constituency. If this election has done anything, it has increased to number of citizens who are ready, willing and able to get on the phone or email and chew on their representatives' ears.
