i don't know if y'all remember the sorry everybody site that happened after bush stole 2004...but the guy has brought it back for happier days.
This site is an epilogue or possibly a sequel to a website I ran in late 2004 called Sorry Everybody. That site was a response to a very disappointing presidential election, and this site is a response to a very promising one.http://www.sorryeverybody.com/explanation.shtmli just went and surfed through the pictures from 2004. i would go there and cry after work, for days and days after the election. we all thought it was a bona fide win then i guess...some still do, i know. anyhow. just thought i'd share. i even found the picture of my chihuahua and my expressed desire for my country back. hm. those weren't the days, and yet they were in a way as the site drew millions of visitors commiserating and posting including many from around the world accepting the apologies and expressing love and hope for the future.
i don't know about y'all, but i didn't think "barack obama" in those days. wow - democracy worked. i think the next several or many years are bound to be a bumpy ride. i knew in 2000 that bush would throw a war. i didn't know that he would be such an unmitigated disaster in virtually every respect. i didn't know that he would allow the worst terrorist attack ever on american soil to occur. i didn't know that he would politicize the courts and every agency in the government, or that he would refer to signing statements and neocon think tank position papers before the constitution and the bill of rights. i mean i knew he'd be bad, but how many people knew just how bad? not me.
so here we are, close to moving on to the next page. Peace.
