1. We are still pursuing GOTV efforts |
|
coordinated network of democratic clubs locally have worked with the State Party on a precinct by precinct basis, concentrating on those who are newly registered or the elderly who may need transportation. Urban volunteers in the cities have organized along the same routes, concentrating on making sure that everyone knows where the polling places are and providing information for public transportation and basic voting rights. Our Union brethren in the SEIU, UFW and various other AFL-CIO chapters have their own lists, phone banks and transportation plans.
We are up in California at last poll by some 9% Nationally , and individual candidates like Boxer are up by some 15%.
In reflection of this clear lead -we are a safe Dem state---we have organized GOTV efforts where Californians are going to Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Some are going to Ohio.
Is that what you were wondering?

I just wanted to make sure that the Democrats did not take California for granted and let the state slip away to Bush.
