Question for those who know Texas politics |
Why would a candidate for a state representative for a rural district hire an advertising agency out of New York to handle his advertising?? Is there any way you could find out if he was being funded by the Chamber of Commerce?

2. Going to keep that under wraps at this point in time |
IF he is being funded by the COC and the district finds out about it, it will certainly be time to stick a fork in the boy. If we trace it down and find out, I will certainly let you know who it is/was.

4. Reminds me of the old Pace Picante commercial.... |
New York City?! It would not play well in rural Texas.
BTW,I wonder who is funding all the Dr Donna boards that have cropped up in my neighborhood? Maybe more NYC money?

5. I would look at Leninger in San |
Antonio first. I am Dem Chair in Coleman County in a podunk backwater Legislative District where Leninger dropped $10K into the race about 6 yrs back. There had NEVER been $10K spent in the District before. Now we have Harvey Hildebrand, or as Texas Monthly refers to him: furniture. He may be a cipher, but he's a wholly owned subidiary of the Leninger machine. Maybe Leninger fronted the money for your guy, though AmCham is a good bet as well. Good luck. Remember Deep Throat's admonition: "Follow the Money"
