I heard some of it on the radio this morning -- powerful stuff. Also an interview w/Neil that some airheaded CNN-bot did. She asked the most stupid questions, but ol' Neil fired back with both barrels. When she made the typical comment that "well, you're a Canadian so what gives you the right to criticize....", Neil responded with, paraphrasing, "I've lived here 40 years, I've paid taxes here for 40 years, I'm proud of my America wife, my American children and my American family." Neil rocks.

incompetence, anti-greed, anti-destroying the environment, anti-intolerance, anti-self righteousness, and anti-belligerence. It just so happens Bush is all of the above.
Neil does not need the money. I bet he feels good about the impact he is making in helping unload the sorry jerks who have stunk up the White House since Rove took over.

22. Agreed he even said that impeaching the president would do |
|
the republicans a favor and might help restore any dignity or credibility they once had.
I myself don't think it will, sorta like a reformed nazi or child abuser, the trust is gone and my eye will always be on them.

|
Any idea where I might be able to find that online?
I'd get a real kick out of watching Neil give some CNN bunny the business. :-)

That reporter certainly made her beliefs clear, didn't she? Even at the end of the segment, when that (hunky and cute) entertainment anchor told her that suggestions that Neil is doing this for publicity are ridiculous.
She raised an eyebrow, and mumbled something.

And then became almost supportive after the interview. Pretty wild.

15. I found these on line. Can't confirm... |
|
Let’s impeach the president for lying And leading our country into war Abusing all the power that we gave him And shipping all our money out the door
He’s the man who hired all the criminals The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors And bend the facts to fit with their new stories Of why we have to send our men to war
Let’s impeach the president for spying On citizens inside their own homes Breaking every law in the country By tapping our computers and telephones
What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees Would New Orleans have been safer that way Sheltered by our government’s protection Or was someone just not home that day?
Let’s impeach the president For hijacking our religion and using it to get elected Dividing our country into colors And still leaving black people neglected
Thank god he’s cracking down on steroids Since he sold his old baseball team There’s lot of people looking at big trouble But of course the president is clean
Thank God

and says lie, fib etc. and that doesn't come through in the lyrics.

The chorus he uses gives everyone a voice to his words Brilliant use, it wouldn't have the power if he hadn't used it for we the people, are the choir.

I tried a few times this morning but the site was jammed. So far it is one of his best. Neil has been one of my favorites for a long time and I have heard the good and the bad from him, and this is one of his best in a long long time.
It is so fucking cool to hear a whole album calling out this administration. I hope it becomes a trend.
