Why we will NEVER break through the "liberal" mainstream media
Here's just a small sample. NBC/MSNBC is owned by GE. Look how wonderful things have been with the Bush administration at the helm.

ALL of the other media are part of corporate conglomerates. Why would they attack the very people who are bringing them record-breaking profits and run roughshod over the interests of the people.

Tax breaks help lift GE profits by 18%

general electricGeneral Electric, the world's biggest company by market value, reported an 18 per cent jump in net earnings on Friday thanks, in part, to a sharp fall in its expected tax bill.

A series of legal changes and court victories has left GE with one of the lowest tax rates in corporate America.

GE's profits rose 3% to $3.9 billion, while sales jumped 11% to $37 billion - its biggest sales gain in nearly four years.

The results beat analysts' estimates and sent the stock up 47 cents to close yesterday at $32.17.

In a clear sign the economy is on the mend, nearly all of GE's businesses, from health care, to finance to industrial sales, posted double digit profit gains.

The company, because of the breadth of its operations and the number of industries where it is a leading player, is considered to be the best single proxy for the American economy. GE said it expects to achieve earnings growth of 10% to 15% next year.

One of the biggest GE winners in the quarter was its transportation division, with profits up 18% as demand grew for jet engines, spare engine parts, and locomotives.

1. That said,

NBC was the only one of the broadcast networks, as far as I know, to show a clip of the Gore speech on its nightly news broadcast. And MSNBC has Olbermann. David Gregory pounds Scotty regularly in the WH briefings. And GE has just "gone green"--a good thing even if it was mainly a business decision.

I'm just trying to say that sometimes we need to see shades of gray.

3. Oh, gee, they throw a bone once in awhile
In an effort to play fair. BUT, if the media were clearly communicating truth, why do so many people think Iraqis were responsible for 9/11 and that WMDs were found in Iraq?

If they pounded on this with the intensity of every pretty white woman who goes missing of the evil looters in NOLA, then perhaps I would see some more gray.

And, sorry, their little green marketing ploy does nothing to absolve them of their transgressions. Read this and tell me they have a moral conscience:

2. Never - A Word That Very Rarely Should Ever Be Used In Context
I always prefer the world unlikely. 'Never' when used in context without a qualifier (such as almost or nearly), is almost never (see the qualifier? LOL) accurate.

I was just trying to make a point.
