Went to the local Barnes & Noble to buy Mark Crispin Miller's
Fooled Again(armed with a gift card)and expecting to find it at the front of the store with the recently released books. Didn't find it and went to the "we'll find anything" desk expecting to be told it was sold out. Got taken to the "Current Events" section, I remarked that such an important new book should have been on display at the front of the store, clerk said "we can't put everything at the front of the store and something like one man's trash is another's treasure." I said I was sure politics had nothing to do with the book being in the back of the store under current events. The book was not on the shelf there either, but there was a small a pile of them ON THE FLOOR at the end of a row of shelves. Barnes and Noble probably has to call Homeland Security every time they sell a copy.

I can only read a few pages of the book at a time or I would have a fricken stroke from anger.

1. Same with HIllary's book at Tampa B&N
One copy only and in current events. B&N is run by their managers. You have a RW manager, you get a RW store. Lucky for me there is a Borders near by and I go there for my books. :)

I think that would be a good reason to call homeland scurity, wouldn't you? Or the health department. Can't have a bunch of incapaciated folk passed out just cause thye read a book now, can they? :P

5. Amazon supports Reps, Barnes & Noble supports Dems
According to buyblue.org.

I can tell you it's not a corporate thing but each store has some control over what is put in new release displays (because so many are released in any given time). In my local B&N it was up front.

The best way to get it moved up front at other stores is to buy it - the more it sells, the more copies they'll carry and they more they'll display it.
