4. They should include the audio... |
|
it is so clear when you hear those whom have put their calls on the internet.
I am a little worried that Republicans would risk life sentences for an election. It makes me wonder why they are doing it.
(I say life sentence simply because there are so many people out there whom have been harassed by these calls. 100,000 times two years (the penalty for the calls) adds up to way more than a thousand years of jail time.)
They are going to be in a lot of trouble, both money and jail wise.

6. why haven't they traced the calls? |
|
Isn't it pretty easy to trace the calls and figure out where the calls came from? I don't understand why the culprits aren't in jail.

8. It's not easy to "trace" calls, at least here in CA. You have to file a written |
|
complaint with the police, and have to do same with the phone company. Then, the FUN part: the PD and the phone co have to both work together to put a tap on the line, and THEN you have to record the day and time of the suspect calls to within one minute (if watches aren't synchronized the endeavor will fail) and a certain percent of the suspect calls have to match up with THE SUSPECT PHONE NUMBER YOU GAVE the PD and phone co. You have to aleady know the suspect phone number!!!!!!!!!!
I know this because I attempted to do it several years ago, and it all came to naught. The LAPD would not cooperate sufficiently with the phone co after the calls got traced. It was a fiasco.

3. MSNBC and CNN were both all over it this weekend |
|
I thought they treated the subject fairly. Their disgust at the robocalls and the racist stuff was very, very clear. The one thing they did NOT say, at least directly, is that this is a REPUKE thing. They tossed in a couple of minor dem things to make it look like both sides do it, but it was about 14 Repuke, 2 dem.

5. T(f)ucker, "I've heard about this in every election I've ever covered" |
|
As if to imply that it's nothing more than tin-foil conspiracy theory stuff.
Tucker started covering elections right around 2000, right? Dem targeted intimidation has been the norm in every election since.

7. Yeah....I Guess That Makes It OK.... |
|
I mean, as long as it's been around, nothing new to see here....move along.
I mean, it's like Enron or Worldcomm....they happen all the time, no biggie.
