Senate still in session tonight |
|
Two votes left this evening - tax relief act and Patriots Act extension. Patriots Act will only have 5 minutes of debate per side! That is outrageous!

1. Hmm. I thought the Pat. Act was already a done deal, and the |
|
extension is only for a few months. I wonder if that's changed. Hi, Sydnie!

They had only extended it until they came back into session. I think it might have actually expired, if I did the math correctly. Didn't they only extend it for 30 days originally?
I am not clear if this is an extension for another 30 days or just what they are attempting to vote on tonight. Just tuned in a few minutes ago myself.

3. Why should they debate? |
|
The Dems have proven this week that they aren't an opposition party at all. No reason to allow a debate. What are the Dems going to do about it?
Nothing. Just like they've done nothing about every other abuse and outrage over the past 5 years.
As far as I'm concerned, the Dems may as well just pack their bags, go home and stop wasting everyones' time.

4. It's just another 30 day patriot act extension. |
|
There really isn't any need for debate. It passed by voice vote in the House.

7. Another? Which extends it to, what,...May 1? |
|
I mean, of course, we're getting futt-bucked, again. I'm just wondering when we're gonna' get bloodied.
Moreover, has the next "kill government for people, welfare for the corporacrats" budget been approved?

5. 5 minutes of debate and how many hours of "voting"? |

8. I was merely quoting what C-SPAN called it and obviously |
|
it must be the name of the bill.
