Idea: Ask Senators to reveal WHEN Rove approached them |
|
and what they said in return.
They don't need to telegraph their vote. They just need to be transparent about what pressure they are receiving behind the scenes. Call Senators and ask, "Has Mr. Rove contacted the Senator?" "What day was that?" "What was the substance of the request?" "What was the Senator's answer?"
If they cannot answer, ask the Senator's office to make that info public.
LTTEs to the same effect.
This would make it hard for the Senators to cast their vote without serious misgivings as to the motivation even on the part of Republicans.
What do you think?

1. Good idea! How dare Karl Rove? This is black mail in the finest form. |
|
Dick Cheney did the same thing on Jim Lehrer's News Hours last night. For 45 minutes he railed on about how bad those repuke senators were.

possible?
I can see some Senators coming up with some language that allows them to tell "the truth" while actually hiding the facts.
