You are not conservative, you are crazy |
|
My new response to Freepers who go on and on with their typical garbage. Most of the things they are for are not conservative, they are corporatist, imperialist and authoritarian which I call crazy.

"You know you're a conservative when:
You believe that all low down, dirty rotten, no good, evil drug addicts and drug pushers should be locked up for life....unless they're some low down, dirty rotten, no good, evil drug addict, drug pushin', nationally syndicated, fat assed, right wingnut radio talk show host, named Rush". That's my only response, but I'm workin' on some more
Can you help me out? LOL!

3. I disagree. Theyre all conservatives |
|
Im not lettin them off the hook. The reicht wing whacktards, the neoconknuckleheads, the Freepers...all Conservatives.
By breaking them down into seperate groups you excuse the idiots who allowed this shit to enter their party. Its like excusing conservatives because of those bad neocons. Nuh uh. They won with the reicht, they should also lose by endorsing them. All Conservatives.

4. Real conservatives are considered "libertarian kooks" by the modern GOP |
|
The ultra-religious, authoritarian, corporatist strain of "conservatism" that infects the GOP today is really nothing more than neo-fascism. And like every fascist-style movement, this one has a core group of enthusiastic, sycophantic kool-aid-drinking brownshirts, commonly known as Freepers. The true conservatives in the US have been marginalized, demonized, and/or beaten into submission.

5. They are ***right-wing radicals***... |
|
Historically, conservatives believed in a strict interpretation of the constitution, fiscal responsibility, and a smaller central government. During the civil-rights era, they espoused the belief that tolerance could not be legislated. Their worldview was based on a kind of hard-nosed practicality and disdain for any flourishes or shows of sentimentality.
I fought like hell against this reactionary stubbornness then, but the demon has morphed into something truly grotesque.
In what way do the jackals that currently run all three branches of government remotely resemble conservatives of the past? They've fashioned a central government that is bigger than any metaphorical 800-pound gorilla; time and again they've attempted to legislate "morality"; they spend almost literally as if there's no tomorrow; the Constitution means **nothing** to these bastards. They are so beholding to big-business interests that the corporations now call the shots.
Every time they are called "conservatives," they've been let off the hook. :grr:
