1. He's overrated as a commentator. |
|
Really, he might be a good writer, but I can't say he presented information that I hadn't considered.

that he sometimes has a feeling or a thought that may not be PC. Like he said he don't refuse to get on the plane or try and stop them from getting on the plane. Now we have people that not only come after you if you say the wrong thing now they come after you if you admit you sometimes have a thought or a feeling. If we had countless terrorist attacks carried out by Asians and you saw several Asians boarding your plane you may have a brief thought or feeling about it. How can one control their random thoughts? Now we don't even have a freedom thought let alone speech. This reminds me of all the grief Jimmy Carter got because he said sometimes he lusts in his heart. Jimmy Carter was the most honest President I can remember and he caught all kinds of flack from the right for that comment. I think the PC Nazis on our side do more harm to the left than Fox News ever does. All they have managed to do here is confirm to the Faux viewers what they have been saying about liberals. Yesterday on the radio there was one call after another from both sides criticizing this firing.

7. I think this was not the only incident. I think this was the latest, and the last. |
|
There's apparently been grumbles about him all along. Fox's commentators are certainly dumbing it down to say he's being fired for this alone. This is just the last straw.

5. OK let's all get behind the politics of fear - GWB & Faux has. Now JW too. |
|
Remember when Ridge revealed that Bush forced him to ratchet up the fear alert level for political reasons?
Yea and now we see Juan Williams trying to smear all Muslims. What a pathetic display..........
Bill O'Liely: Muslims attacked us on 911!
Juan Williams will snuggle right into the right position at Faux.

6. And this BS confirms to the Rethugs is that all the |
|
stuff Faux and right wing haters have been telling them is true about the liberals wanting to control their lives right down to even what you may think.

8. I don't think Fox viewers needed any facts or evidence to back up their blind acceptance of that |
|
They've always had their prejudices well insulated from all evidence to the contrary of their chattering point. It's not reasonable for a serious news organization like NPR to base its self assessments on what Fox thinks of them any more that it makes sense for the Obama administration to base their political decisions on what will keep the Republicans the quietest.
I'm glad NPR got rid of the dead weight. Williams has been kissing O'Reilly and Hannity's asses for years. NPR isn't even all that liberal, except in the sense of being open to new facts and understanding.
