Historical Trivia: The 1920 election was between 6 past and future Presidents |
|
It's never happened before or since.
The presidential election of 1920 included six once-and-future presidents running for office; Warren Harding, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, Theodore Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, and Franklin Roosevelt.

3. It's a shame Eugene V. Debs didn't win. |
|
In the 1920 election, he ran from prison, after being arrested and convicted by the government of speaking out against World War I during the war. During that war, Wilson became perhaps the most authoritarian presidents in American history in terms of crushing the anti-war movement and persecuting unionists and socialists. Unfortunately, Debs was a socialist and a union activist and was seen as a labor leader.

5. Warren Harding was accused of being partially Black |
|
We have a long sick history of slanderous politics in this country. :(
Not that I would be offended to be 'accused' of such. I'm frankly disappointed that I cannot include Black as part of my multi-cultural heritage. It's the only one I'm missing. :(
