So rhyming wouldn't be a big problem. How about Amelia, Brenda, Clara, Diana, Eva, Freida, Gina, Helga, Imelda, etc. just keep adding to the alphabet. So maybe it's not anything scary.

One of my pet peeves is giving HUMAN (both MALE and FEMALE) names to hurricanes. They have no gender -- they are IT, not HIM or HER.

No, I don't have any solutions, but I just needed to rant.

I lived in Florida for 28 years and scheduled to go to a high school reunion in October or November 2006, probably in Orlando. After this year and last year, I'm not sure I'll make it...

Edit: Tonight, one of the female newscasters said to Rita Cosby, "I hope they won't be using YOUR name in vain later this week, Rita!" I'll bet she thought that was a CUTE remark. Well, it wasn't.
