Someone mentioned in another post that it seems to be a requirement for all Dems to preface their statement's with "We are as concerned about protecting America as anyone", etc. THEY NEED TO STOP DOING THIS - it is playing right into the Republican meme.

What they need to do is hammer on the fact that America is much less safe since Bush has been in office. An entire city destroyed due to his incompetence, greater terrorist activity in the world due to his ill advised war, the highest national debt ever, cut funding for education which undermines the future of this nation. And so forth.
