...people really DO like America, then. They might not invite George W. to dinner, but OUR reputation is fine, as I said. Consequently, immigration certainly DOES have to do with standing; NOBODY moves--at considerable risk to their own lives--to a country they hate.

(How many people tried to move INTO Germany throughout WWII? Who's begging Kim il-Jong to grant them sanctuary? Stalin get swamped with applications for possible Russian citizens? Is anyone you know even packing a bag to Havana? That's NOT an accident...)
