At the time it was built, the Ronald Reagan Building was the most expensive federal building ever constructed. The total cost was $768 million. As a Federal office building, it is second in size only to the Pentagon. It's naming caused some controversy, as Ronald Reagan was considered a champion of small government, and this building was seen as an example of government waste.

It's funny . . . whenever I visit, usually every time I walk past it hardly anyone is in there except maybe a few workers.
