Flowery speeches are indeed inspiring, but Obama has not been properly vetted. Patrick Fitzgerald has mentioned Obama in the on-going trial of his benefactor. The super delegates will decide whether or not the GOP can attack Obama and paint him as a corrupt politician. They have an uncanny knack of turning a puff of smoke into a 5-alarm fire. If they can, he'll lose 20% of his support overnight and we'll end up McCain.
