My husband nearly lost his foot due to their incompetence. They federal government had to step in and ban them from doing surgeries after 10 patients died who shouldn't have. I know it doesn't make sense but VA health care is also based on cost, the administrators who save money can pocket it so patients get denied basic things like bandages that won't pull on the skin when removed. Indian Health Care is the same way, substandard care so administrators can pocket any left over funds. Because these are two groups that will largely shut their mouths and put up with substandard care, it keeps going on.
