8. No, they're not counting the wounded that die later....
...and I'm guessing that they're also undercounting those that are wounded. For every soldier killed their ought to be about 12 to 15 wounded. Of those that are wounded, about 10% will die of their wounds within 30 days or less.

A ballpark guess as to the real casualty numbers in Iraq? Based on everything that we're reading and hearing about the severity of the wounds, I'd say approximately 750 dead and about 10,000 wounded.

Any guess is good concerning the casualty figures from the "forgotten war" in Afghanistan. I'm thinking maybe 200 dead and another 2800 wounded, but who knows for sure?
