Williams was blathering on and on and on about how Monica was going to overshadow President Clinton's presidency

Well, frankly, Williams was right. She did.

If Bill had kept it in his pants -- or told the truth immediately, rather than allow the slow slow drip of scandal -- or if Al Gore had repudiated him -- or maybe even if Bill had just refrained from the obscene East Lawn victory party following the Senate's vote against impeachment -- we wouldn't have President Vacation and Grand Inquisitor Ashcroft in office.
