is to talk the U.S. into a preemptive strike. They can't take out the sites, all fifteen of them, by themselves. Their pilots would have to fly over Jordan, presumably, and the Iranians know they're coming and can detect them. That's what I've heard from military guys at least. This is not the case for the U.S.--we can get there from a number of places and we can get there undetected. The problem is we don't know where their underground sites are. Surface sites can be found.
