30. We will get blue eventually....
I know the overall state numbers favored Texas' villiage idiot but if you look at counties like Dallas County, Kerry got 49% of the votes...and Dallas County is HUGE. It has urban and redneck parts of town. They even elected a Hispanic lesbian for county sheriff! So we are very purple and NOT red at all!
Travis County went blue also according to the TX Sec of State webpage and then South Texas was blue.
National dems will get OUT of Texas what they put INTO Texas. Ignore the dems down here and, well, they do like the TX Dem webpage tells them to do...at one point it said to send their $$ contributions to AUSTIN politicians and not the national level cuz TX dems were being snubbed by the national Dem party.

I've been down here for 18 yrs and we have come a long way. When NYPD Blue came out, the local Dallas ABC channel refused to air it...the local assholes..uh, I mean bible thumpers felt a need to "protect" everyone down here. Then the show started raking in the money for ads and the local channel starting showing it. 18 yrs later and we now actually have gotten to see Desparate Housewives from the very first episode!!
