Bill O'Reilly's "Culture Warrior," the Fox newsman's latest book, is a call to arms. In plain language, the cable-news host lays out for his readers a dire vision of America at war.

The enemy, however, is not al-Qaida. Rather, O'Reilly lashes out at what he calls the "secular-progressive movement," a cabal of the news media, liberal groups and Hollywood stars. Forget Osama bin Laden. It's George Clooney and CNN we ought to be keeping an eye on.

From its very first pages -- a preface called "Central Command (CENTCOM) Initial Briefing" -- the book strives to convey a sense of urgency. "My goal is to expose and defeat people who have the power to do you great harm," O'Reilly writes.

Who are these people?

"Culture Warrior" lists a gamut of personalities that runs from Barbra Streisand to Walter Cronkite. O'Reilly calls progressive financier George Soros "public enemy number one," followed closely by the ACLU, which he blames for the deterioration of American culture. They all have one thing in common: the promotion of the secular-progressive (or "S-P") agenda, whose hallmarks are a lack of patriotism and "standard-issue communist thought."
