He is a resident of a State that recently voted to revoke rights from a minority he claims are 'considered normal'. Considered normal, treated to unfair laws and discrimination. The author claims a righteousness for CA that is not authentic. Prop 8, that was authentic, that was CA in action, that showed exactly how gay people are 'considered' in CA. Considered to be unworthy of equal rights by the same people who point fingers at others while claiming they are not oppressing those they do in fact oppress.
I think the author should rip up his birth certificate, the original is on file and not his to destroy anyway. Of course, the author would never rip up his marriage certificate. Oh, no, that's to be Defended, and Prop 8 did that. Yet the author wants to claim GLBT people, lacking basic human rights, are treated just like everyone else.
