13. Calhoun Had No Credibility
Why RoveCo. allow this pondscum to play spokesman for them is beyond me. Letsee...there's the only other witness to see AWOL boy during his Alabama stint was his ex-wife? Because he and * were Republicans and the state was heavily Democratic they kept to themselves?

Wait a second here. Calhoun said that George Wallace's re-election was the major reason they had to "cool" their Repugnican-"ism"...what a crock of crap. Wallace was a Conservative...didn't oppose the Nam war and his followers were already on their way into the GOOP via the Southern strategy. If anything, bunnypant's presence in the state in that '72 election (daddy was head of the RNC) was no fluke...they were working to "convert" the angry whites and bible thumpers.

Tweety let this doofus ramble on way to long and you could see (rolling his eyes) that he didn't believe Calhoun...but let him blather on about the Guard and how pretzelboy was treated no different than anyone else...who were able to get into the guard.

That spin about he was "on loan" is one that Tweety should have hopped all over...asking to see the paperwork on that. Tweety also didn't really bring up the concept of Calhoun all but admitting he played AWOL-boy's private valet/babysitter.

Might be that the Tweedster, but letting this hack make such a fool of himself put even further doubt on those still learning about the manchild's non-miltary history. It also made what Cleland and Moore say about Kerry to sound so much more credible and impressive.

The GOOP better give up on that "Kerry is a traitor/Hanoi Jane" crap...it ain't gaining any traction. Personally, I'd love to see the wingnut attack Kerry's war and post-war action...maybe it'll bring to light the large anti-war activism that was going on in this country at the time that forced the government to scale back and then get us out of that evil war...and, unfortunately, a blue print should this regime continue its folly in Iraq.
