The situation in Iraq becomes less and less tenable everyday. It has become clear that the the Iraqi's do not want us to stay and fix their society. They believe that they alone have the ability to determine their own destiny. THEY DON'T WANT US THERE.

The Sunni and Shi'ite tribes, who are historically bitter enemies, have recently joined forces to oppose us. This is a situation that we can no longer win. It may never have been a winnable situation.

The current DLC mantra that we must stay to fix the mess we made is just this century's version of the philosophy of "White Man's Burden." The Iraqi's are the ones who must determine the direction of the country. Give them the right of self-determination. The US is not the cure all, end all. We are not needed in all places at all times.

Please, help to do the right thing. Please, help to save American lives. Please, help save Iraqi lives. Please, help the Iraqis take control of THEIR country. Please, BRING THE TROOPS HOME.

Sincerely,
