I couldn't stand Ronald Reagan, but it had nothing to do with how someone down the street felt about him. The sickening policies were what did it for me. It didn't help that he had that artificial air about him. I could always SEE him acting. Now a good many politicians do act, but the fact that Reagan had such ghastly policies and yet turned a smiling face to the world was creepy.

People may have called Clinton a phoney, but he didn't make the outrageous claims and pursue the ghastly policies the Reagan administration and first Bush administrations did.
