77. Yes, yes, I know all the liberal talking points on the power of words.
The point is, that the dialogue changed with Rush Limbaugh & Ann Coulter who demonized minorities as inferior and all those who demonized the poor as welfare queens. THAT's what I meant by PC is dead.

Liberals were just too nice when it came to fighting in the gutter and that's where the battle is today. That's why you lost every time. Conservatives EXPECTED liberals just to turn the other cheek. And thus, with no rebuttal, the conservatives filled the vacuum and have monopolized this country's dialoque.

I know you don't have to use dicey words to make your point. You can land someone flat on his ass with a good command of the language, just like the british do. But we as Americans haven't acquired the talent for it yet. And quite frankly, those who do make the attempt, fall into the trap of being called, "elite." Isn't that sad, that the Republicans, who criticize the poor for being uneducated, would turn around and call someone who is educated, too elite?

For now, I am satisfied that the conservatives are a little perplexed because Liberals are not being so nice anymore.
