It's occurred to many of us that BushCo's power -- and its zeal to gain and maintain power -- involves something more than the common citizen's eye can see.

Trace 2000 forward: We saw a stolen election, followed with a cabinet constructed of recycled Poppy loyalists. We've since seen policies based on oil dealings and corporate wealth, and a military invasion whose premise had no basis in fact. We've seen tactics straight out of Hitler's playbook including a compliant, consolidated media, nationalist (seen as "patriotic") fervor, religious zealotry, gradual erosion of citizens' rights, villification of a domestic enemy ("libruls") and corporate power all converged with political power. And another spurious election in 2004.

Trace 2000 backwards: Look at Bush* and his cabinet and trace their history. The historical facts should raise eyebrows and questions, from the scandals of the Bush/Reagan administration (Iran/contra, Noriega) to Poppy's strange CIA history to Prescott's Nazi connections (including the Nazis' flight to South American countries where Poppy continues to like to take "fishing" trips, such as Argentina where Enron and key Chimp campaign supporters flourished).

Now look at the present: we're witnessing the circle of power shrinking around this administration, with truth-tellers outcast and "loyalists" reined in. Even the CIA is being purged. It's like "The Godfather" in Washington, on steroids, and it's unprecedented in America.

We can't get at the real truth of the relationships between these facts through Google searches. All we'll ever see is surface, "circumstantial evidence." The real truth will remain hidden through layers of power, perhaps for many years to come.
